First a little on where I began so you can better understand how I ended up here.  My love for France began in early childhood when me and my family went to Provence for our yearly summer vacation.

I was born and raised in Luxembourg and my adventures as a teenager living and traveling throughout Europe made me realize how much I love being on the road.  My first job was working for an airline, and later I transitioned into the hotel industry.  At 30, while on business, I met my husband who was stationed in San Diego at the time.  Since then, we’ve moved 6 times, and each home was an opportunity for me to redesign and make the next home better than the last.

I truly felt like a designer after completing our current home. By this time, I had left my hotel job as an event coordinator to take care of my children full-time.

Helping my sister and her family reimagine their home, she said words that brought me here today, “You should do this for a living.”  I knew that I had a natural gift for the work and trusted that I can pull this off.  I learned everything I know by doing, making mistakes, and getting back up and asking for more. It doesn’t matter that it happened later in life or that I am not classically trained.  My work is my passion.

I founded Provenza to reflect my love for Provence, renowned for its stunning landscapes, rich culture, and elegant lifestyle, timeless and romantic with a focus on natural materials, soft colors and vintage accents.  Comfortable and welcoming.

For me, creating a home is a journey filled with pleasure. It is a place so steeped in beauty that it has the capacity to transform us, which in turn creates a home of even deeper beauty.  Somewhere along that journey of creating, we can become stuck or sidetracked. But when we focus on our values, decision making becomes easy – and when we listen to our inner voice, we find our way. A home is one of our most important creations. It is a space that needs to function on many levels but it’s also our most intimate space to feel safe and nurtured. It is a place where we can be ourselves.
